Hey, Guys! These are makeup products that I use anytime I wear make-up and would highly recommend! Just bear in mind that I have oily skin and what works for me might not always work for you. I hope you enjoy reading!
Kat Von D Loose Translucent Setting Powder.
This is the best translucent powder I have ever used by far! This product keeps my skin looking matte all day without making my face look flat! This is a high-end powder so the price tag is definitely up there ($30/£22/€28) but I think it is so worth it! I got this as a Christmas present 6 months ago and I am not even half way through, a little goes a long way! Kat Von D is also a cruelty-free brand which is always better to go for although personally would not affect MY choice in makeup brands. I would highly recommend this even if you don’t suffer from oily skin this is an amazing powder for setting concealer and prevents under eye creasing! You can purchase this product here.
Soap and Glory Thick and Fast HD Mascara.
I never hear anybody talk about this mascara, ever! I think this is the best mascara I have ever use and believe me, I’ve tried many! Currently, I do not actually use mascara as I have eyelash extensions but before I ever had the extensions and between refills, this is definitely by go-to mascara! It adds volume and length without being over clumpy, perfect for those no-makeup makeup days! This also comes from a cruelty-free brand and can be found in the drugstore for an amazing price! (£10.50/$14/€13) You can purchase this product here.
Catrice liquid camouflage concealer.
This concealer is amazing for everything from covering blemishes to highlighting your face to creating a base for your eyeshadow! I always get a slightly lighter shade to my skin to use for highlighting my forehead, nose, chin, and under eyes and it works a treat! This concealer glides so smoothly onto the skin and is so easy to apply. It is the least expensive product on this least and also my favourite (€3.99/$4.50/£3.53). From what I could find online there are only three shades in this collection, all very light with different undertones. They have no shades at all for anyone with a deep skin tone. I use shade 010 and this is perfect for my skin tone. If there is nothing else you take from this blog post just trust me that you need this concealer in your life. It is a drugstore concealer and cruelty-free. It is quite possibly the most inexpensive concealer you will find and by far the best! You can purchase this product here.
L’oreal Infallible 24hr Matte Foundation.
Due to the fact I have oily skin, I always go for a mattifying foundation to try and keep the shine at bay as best as I can, this is not a problem with this foundation! If you suffer from oily skin this foundation is a must have! The only problem with this foundation is the lack of shade range. The line only carries six different shades of this foundation and lacks a colour for people with deeper skin tones. This product is also cruelty-free and has a very low price tag (€12.29/£8.99/$13.99). This product is so easy to put on and has a medium coverage which is perfect for everyday wear. You can purchase this product here.
Kiko Weightless Perfection Powder Foundation.
This powder foundation makes the PERFECT bronzer! I bought this product in Spain as we don’t actually have a Kiko shop in Ireland but it is available online to everyone. This product carries 12 shades and has some shades for deeper skin tones. I use the shade WR120 for bronzer and it is the perfect shade for me! They are also cruelty-free and come with a drugstore price tag (€10.95/$18/£12.90). Kiko is a Spanish makeup brand but it is also becoming popular in other countries and they even have many stores in the UK. I have tried a lot of Kiko products but this is by far the best Kiko product I have used and it has even replaced my Benefit Hoola bronzer for everyday and for a much lower price tag! You can purchase this product here.
MAC Mineralize Skin Finish in Soft and Gentle.
This is the first product in my list that is NOT cruelty-free, if this is something that you are against then this product is not one for you. I think this highlighter is the best highlighter out there, it comes with a high price tag but if you are crazy about highlighter (like most of us are!) then this won’t be a big deal (€31.50/$33/£25.50). With this product you can create a subtle glow using a light hand or you can create a more night-time glow for nights out, parties, events etc. There are five shades in this collection (although soft and gentle is the most popular and also my personal favourite) including a more pink toned highlighter, less intense highlighters and highlighters for deep skin tones. Although there are only five shades I feel they have a shade for everyone! You can purchase this product here.
