Hey, guys! Seeing as it is holidays season I am going to try and upload a series of traveling/holiday blog posts. There are so many places I would love to visit but I narrowed it down to the top 5 cities I want to visit. I have such an interest in traveling and seeing as much of the world as possible because growing up I didn’t travel much. This was simply down to the fact that we never had much money and my mom has a fear of flying, occasionally my dad would take us away. I have been to Spain, Paris and The Canary Islands but I long to see more and take adventure whenever I can. I started to travel more when I met my boyfriend, his family and himself travel a lot and I went with them to Spain last year, my first holiday in 7 years! Once I got that small taste for adventure I cannot wait to travel more! So enough rambling on, these are the top 5 places I simply cannot wait to visit!
For so long I have wanted to visit London. I feel like this is such a cliché city to want to visit but there are so many landmarks that look so beautiful in pictures I would love to see them myself. Landmarks such as The Big Ben, The London Eye, London Bridge etc. are all things I would love to see. There are so many hotels in London City but the price is definitely up there! I feel like in London you could never get bored, there are so many things to do and see, even the view from London Bridge is something I could never get tired of! London is such an expensive place in comparison to where I live but I think it is so worth it as it seems like such a beautiful city with many things to do and places to see. I hope to visit London within the next year, and if that dream comes true expect a major blog post!
It isn’t fair to say that I have never been to Paris, because I have been once, when I was 12 my dad brought me to Disneyland but we only went for three days and we didn’t get to see any of the amazing landmarks, although I probably wouldn’t have appreciated them at that young age. Paris is branded the city of love and it isn’t hard to see why. The Louvre, The Eiffel Tower, The Love Lock Bridge, Arc De Triomphe and Notre Dame Cathedral are only a handful of examples of the beauty of Paris. It is one of those cities where you want to travel to with someone you love and someone you want to share the beauty of the city with. I hope to someday be sitting outside a French café, tasting macaroons and reading a good book while taking in the beauty of all the amazing things surrounding me!
Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
Amsterdam seems like one of the most amazing places to visit, I really hope to get there soon as it is quite inexpensive but it’s hard to try and find the time! My older sister has been there twice and has absolutely loved it both times which initially sparked my interest in this city. I would love to take a boat ride down one of the canals and maybe have dinner overlooking one also. There are some interesting things to do in Amsterdam such as take a visit to the wax museum, the Anne Frank House, the Van Gogh Museum, Rijksmuseum, Vondelpark etc. these are all definitely things I would make sure to see if I was in Amsterdam. There is also The Red Light District, Live Sex Shows and Sex Museums (if that’s what you’re into). I have very high expectations for Amsterdam and I hope that when I get the chance to visit that it lives up to my expectations.
Macchu Picchu, Peru.
This one seems quite random compared to the rest of the cities. I saw a photograph online of Macchu Picchu last year and thought it looked beautiful, after that, I looked more into it and needless to say I was amazed. I always though the best holidays to go on would be big city trips or beach holidays, this is neither and I surprised myself by how much I want to visit Macchu Picchu. You can take tours of Inca history here and hike up to the very top of the mountain, this city is situated on the very top of a mountain which overlooks Peru and creates a magical view for anyone! There isn’t really much more I can say about this city as the main reason I would love to visit is to climb Macchu Picchu and I hope to do it someday.
Krakow is the capital city of Poland and there is one main reason why I would love to visit: Auschwitz. I know you’re probably wondering why I would love to see something like that. I am extremely interested in World War II and I think it would be a once in a lifetime breathtaking opportunity. A couple of my family members and I were going to go and visit last year but we never got around to it. There is also supposed to be a fantastic nightlife in Krakow if you are looking to go out and have a couple of drinks. I would love to go in the winter when the city is covered in snow as I feel it would add to the beauty of the city. I am sure there are many other things to do in Krakow but the sole reason I want to visit this city is to see Auschwitz and hopefully, I get to do that someday soon!
There are so many other places I would love to travel to within Europe and The United States, I just narrowed it down to my top 5 for this blog post. Thank you so much for reading and I really hope you enjoyed!
